ISGN began as the in-house IT service of the K.K. Birla Group's fertilizer division, CFCL. ISGN was then simply ISG - India Software Group. The year was 1998 and ISG had just been made to operate as an independent entity. Soon ISG merged with NovaSoft Technologies. As a result, it now had offices in the United States, the United Kingdom and Singapore offering outsourced product development, application maintenance outsourcing and was a reseller of ERP products. The merged entity was named ISG NovaSoft Technologies Ltd, or ISGN.
This new and daring ISGN came under a management team comprised of visionaries with Krishna Srinivasan at the helm. As CEO, Krishna brought together an all-star team of experts from the mortgage and financial services industries. ISGN would now focus exclusively on the U.S. residential mortgage industry, offering a deep and broad spectrum portfolio that would leverage the strength of its people, process knowledge and technology platforms.
With this change in strategy came major enterprise restructuring and momentous growth. ISGN set out to acquire five best-of-breed companies and bring together a never-before seen basket of offerings to address lenders of every size and stature. Today ISGN delivers the value to its customers through platform-based technology solutions and knowledge process outsourcing capabilities backed by robust products and e-services.
The Vision
ISGN articulated a vision in June 2005.
"To build a global portfolio of knowledge driven, IT and IT-enabled service businesses that creates sustainable value to all stakeholders: Customers, Investors and Employees. ISGN will be among the Top 3 in three years."
This is the vision around which the strategy for growth and consolidation evolved. It is a living vision that continues to stand the test of time and evolution.
